1. Who we are
Relocate Ireland (relocateireland.ie) is an independent information resource for people moving to Ireland. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018, the data controller is Relocate Ireland, operated from Ireland. You can contact us via our contact page.
2. What data we collect
We collect minimal personal data. Specifically:
- Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content when you use the contact form. This is processed solely to respond to your enquiry.
- Analytics data: We use privacy-respecting analytics (no cookies, no IP tracking) to understand which pages are read most. No personal identifiers are stored.
- Affiliate link clicks: When you click an affiliate link, the destination platform (e.g. Wise, VHI) may set its own cookies in accordance with their privacy policies. We do not receive personal data from these platforms, only aggregate click counts.
We do not collect payment information, passport data, or any sensitive personal data.
3. Legal basis for processing
Under GDPR Article 6, we process contact form data on the basis of legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry). Analytics data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests (understanding site performance), using only anonymised, aggregated data with no individual profiling.
4. How long we keep data
Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months and then permanently deleted. Anonymised analytics data has no defined retention limit as it contains no personal identifiers.

We use the following third-party services:
- Cloudflare Pages: static site hosting. Cloudflare may log HTTP request metadata for security. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts: font delivery via CDN. Font requests may be logged by Google. We use
rel="preconnect"to minimise data sharing. - Affiliate partners (Wise, Revolut, VHI, Laya, Irish Life Health, CurrencyFair): each has its own privacy policy, accessible on their respective websites.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for marketing purposes.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate personal data

- Restrict or object to our processing of your data
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (Ireland)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page.
7. Cookies
This site uses no tracking cookies of its own. See our Cookie Policy for details on third-party cookies set by affiliate platforms when you click through.
